The most important innovation in the approach of LPL is a commitment to the client's requirements. The tried and tested methods of LPL's Software Development Project (outlined below) are used, but with one major difference.
Using InTouch project management ensures that the client (or a representative of the client) will be given the opportunity to alter requirements during each stage of development.
Alterations must be incorporated in a controlled manner and both parties given time to assess the impact of any changes on the project.
This means that signing a specification document no longer means having to wait for the inadequate finished product before any changes can be requested.
Change control however remains as strict as ever and a formalised system will always be used.
